  1. Haven’t seen you around in a while, so I’m stopping by to make sure all is good in Elyse world and to say hi. So…HI! 🙂

    • You are sweet.

The mood just hasn’t struck me. Plus my dog as decided that he wants to be brushed every evening … and Trump Just isn’t funny any more.

I have started putting together a piece for what would have been my dad’s 100th bday though.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

      • Our dog has become increasingly strange. She’s 5 and was never afraid of storms before this spring, but we’ve had some doozies in the last month, and she’s acting bizarre. She tries to jump up on our laps, over the coffee table, and she’s 95 pounds! Not just storms – she won’t go in the kitchen sometimes, won’t come in the house, etc. I’m worried. Do dogs develop mental illness?

        • Yes they do. I have a friend with a dog who is autistic! So you never know. It might be anxiety. You might try a thunder shirt for the storms. I heard they work pretty well, but I never had to use one.

Duncan has a peculiarity. Once he gets into the car, he doesn’t want to come out. We have to pull and push him. It’s not normally a problem at the park or whatever, but when we take road trips it must look like we’re stealing the dog!

  2. The older I get, the more I realize how important good men are:).

  3. I almost forgot about it since we were in Europe! Luckily, my daughter joined us and brought a card.

  4. Being a dad is a blast. I can’t believe my own father wanted nothing to do with it. What a lost opportunity.

    • That generation really lost out for the most part. I had it the opposite way. Mom worked outside the house while Dad’s office was at home. He was the one picking us up, handling the traumas. I’ve always felt lucky.

  5. Beautiful song. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there (and all the women who had to be both mother and father to their kids, whether by choice or circumstance).
