Such sad news to have to spread. Good-bye to my favorite MBA.
Those of us who’ve grown to love the lively words that bounced from the head and fingers of Paul Curran will never be the same.
The writer from Canada has died, according to his neighbor Steve Watson.
I received this email on the contact tab from my blog:
With great sadness I have to tell you that Paul Curran has passed away. Paul passed last week.

I found the email this morning. I arrived yesterday. Steve Watson was listed as the photographer in the If We Were Having Coffee Sunday column Paul had me post here on Sept. 11 after his emergency operation.
I could not find an obituary through search engines.

Not knowing seems much worse even than knowing.
He was a frequent commenter here. We had lots of long discussions. I will miss him, and I know others will too.

Yes, definitely. I didn’t know him, but I remember seeing comments from him on various blogs. I thought he was very well-spoken.
Another blogger I knew of passed recently at the age of 80. He was a pastor, and commented a few times and liked almost everything I wrote. (Almost)! Anyway, he “liked” one of my posts just a couple of days before he died. I had no idea he was in hospice care until I read it on his blog where his son posted about his passing. You never really know what anyone could be going through.

I didn’t talk about my Crohn’s for the first year, and then I did. It is a big part of who I am (and why I joke about poop all the time). But for a while you can pretend and that’s nice too.

I think that’s really helpful that you do that, and I think it makes you human and lovable. 🙂 And as long as you’re comfortable talking about it, I would assume it’s very helpful for you too.

Yes, it is. When it isn’t, or when it’s really bothering me, though, I don’t talk about it. If I can’t laugh at it, it doesn’t come up.

That’s interesting that you feel that way. Seems like it’s the opposite for some people, when you read about their rant about something – like that’s what helps them through it.
So I guess I hope to see poop post after poop post from you because then I will know you are all right! Right?! lol

I was wondering why he hadn’t posted any comments lately. I knew his health wasn’t so great lately. It’s too bad. He was funny, and one heck of a storyteller.
