I have written many posts about my heros. Political heroes like Adlai Stevenson and RFK. People who have spoken up and made a difference. But my current, live version of a hero is Senator Elizabeth Warren, Democrat of Massachusets.
Run Donald run. And I don’t mean for office. I mean head for the hills. I imagine there is some real estate for sale somewhere they allow misogynous white has-beens.

As much as I like both of them, I think we need the in the Senate. There are GOP governors in both states. My vote for VP is Tim Kaine. From VA.

This kind of vitriol helps NOBODY. I mean, you get to feel good about yourself and your opinions are validated, but the way this material is presented—with the name calling and insults—will not convert the undecideds. If anything, it’ll drive them away from these very important core truths here. You pick funny role models.

I disagree. She shows the hypocrisy in the “haves” complaining about their burden and demanding that the rest of us foot the bill. It’s s lesson that so many disadvantage Trump voters need to hear. And they need to hear it often.
Sen Warren is smart, articulate and relatable. She winger senate seat with this argument too.

My issue isn’t with the content. She’s right. It’s with the delivery vehicle. Senator Warren is just another political rabble rouser. Another Washington gas bag. You just happen to agree with her, which makes it acceptable to you.

For too long the Dems have been hog-tied on issues that matter to people. To their daily lives. She is a eloquent spokesperson for good governing, IMHO. And she reminds folks that elections matter.

A dynamic I find fascinating (and sad) with EW is that Wall Street has, outright, told Hillary that is she selects (the ever qualified) EW as her running mate, financial support for her campaign would be cut off. This I find uncomfortably telling about HRC’s relationship with and dependence on Wall Street funding. EW would do exactly what is needed but HRC won’t compromise her Wall Street connections for a very competent running mate.

Well said. She make the case for why fat cats like Trump must pay their taxes. Our infrastructure supports their empires. If they pay a higher tax rate than us, that’s only fair. And for sure, it must be higher than 0%.

This has been part of her stump speech for several years — from when she got elected to the Senate in 2012. And she’s right (as are you). Why should they get a break when they’ve gotten so much OUT of the US?
