Medical Advice

You guys know that I am a fake medical expert who does drugs.  In a safe, legal way only, of course.

But I saw this over at my friend Father Kane’s blog, and I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you.  Not that any of you need this advice, but someone you know might be wondering.  Someone you don’t know well.  Someone you don’t even like.  But still, it is important to keep folks safe.

  1. The most common of vision impairments related to the beginning old age is presbyopia, a disorder where the lens of the eye loses its
versatility and blurs perspective at very near and incredibly long range.
Therefore, you’ll find glasses readily available for people who suffer
with computer vision symptoms but don’t typically use prescribed spectacles.

  3. Awesome video … and more confirmation about the importance of your medical advice.

  4. Haha oh my gosh, I don’t know which was my favorite– the LSD bunny or trying to wipe the interior vomit with the windshield wipers.

  5. You’re an angel! I needed a smile today–thanks!

  6. I’ve long suspected many drivers were ‘impaired’. Must be so. I especially like the ones who advocate against things they are currently doing, such as hanging signs saying texting while driving is illegal and dangerous and then you notice they are steering with their knees while texting away. Yikes. Maybe they were stoned on fumes.

  7. Ha! Now I’m afraid to get on the road. Who knew there could be so many stoned people traveling all around me. Yikes!

Sorry I haven’t been around for a while. I’ve been traveling quite a bit. ET

    • I’m sure this only happens in German-speaking countries, Eleanor! Truly. It’s not the drivers in the DC area who are/were stoned but the folks who designed the roads!

Hope you’ve had a good time traveling I haven’t been around much either, honestly. Work has gotten totally crazy.

  8. Good advice – I think I’ve taken half those drugs though ;)

  9. awesome… but there is no way I am giving up shooting up while I drive…

  10. The other day I saw a woman make a u-turn in the middle of a busy street while simultaneously sticking her left hand out the window to make a rude gesture at the drivers who were honking at her and taking large angry bites out of ice cream cone she was holding in her right hand.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any example of this behavior on the video. So I guess we’ll never know what caused it.

  11. Hilarious! The rabbit killed me….hahaha!

  12. Well, never having tried drugs (the non-medicinal ones), I found this video very enlightening! Suffice it to say, I’m glad I never did try them. (They weren’t available when I was growing up – giving away my age, here.) Ha.

  13. Hey thanks for the shout out. It was funny…….

  14. Paul

Haha! The windshield wipers were my favorite – I cracked up!

  15. Ok, that was awesome. Nothing else, simply awesome. I can’t pick just one.

  16. Damn. I was enjoying it until they called out glue.

(Loved the translation for LSD. Wouldn’t have known what they were talking about otherwise.)

  17. Eva

    Haha!
That wouldn’t have been as funny if it wasn’t in German.

  18. Very funny! And also great advice.

    • Apparently, we co-ordinated our responses. ;-)

      • You know, I typed my response to your other comment, hit post and then thought, they are together, aren’t they. … I always worry that I’m going to get it wrong.

        • No worries. Yeah, it is me & He-Who. It is scary sometimes. We both are sitting in the morning reading blogs. I can hear him snicker & then he can hear me giggle. We can hear each other tapping at the key boards. Then one of us will say, “Did you read (insert name here) this morning?” and the other will say, “I was just reading that”. Then we look and we have the same comment. We seriously do not collaborate.

    • Yeah, it’s hard enough to get through traffic without adding, ummm, elements! Nice to see you!

  19. Loved it!! If that’s not the best PSA, I don’t know what is. The windshield wiper was my favorite. No, maybe the fairy with the magic wand. So funny.

Play nice, please.
