Nope, this isn’t a dozen roses.
Not a box of chocolates (milk — I wouldn’t dream of giving you dark).
Not skimpy underwear.
Just some important information from a fake medical professional and expert patient to ensure you can get those from someone else next year. And the next. And the next.
Know the signs and share this one with your friends.

This is good. I had a heart attack as per my echo three years ago. I knew nothing about it. They told me that happens sometimes. Scarey.
I shared on FB
Glad you’re OK —
Heart disease (caused by smoking) killed one of my sisters. I had to post this. Humor is the best way to remember.
Yes it is. My sister just turned 50 and she takes everything lightly where her health is concern.
What a perfectly logical to day to remind people to take care of their hearts!
I loved the commercial, thank you for sharing it!
Glad you liked it, Rara. A good friend sent it to me and today seemed like the time to share it.
Thanks for the love – great day to be reminded of the importance of paying attention to what’s going on in our bodies!
Isn’t it well done? — That’s how we all feel — just a few more minutes, please!
This is a unique way to draw attention to this disease — I love it.
I thank my friend Michele who emailed it to me. It cracks me up.
This video represents so many of us. Thanks for sharing this power message…that also made me laugh.
It is funny, isn’t it? THIS is how you get folks to listen — make em laugh!
Love the way the promo uses humor to deliver the message.
LOL … this would be a good Monday Morning Entertainment!
I love that clip (and that movie). Glad you enjoyed it.
I feel a bit ill now, but also amused and anxious. Can you make any sense of that
As a fake medical professional, I recommend a cup of coffee or a bit of chocolate.
I see you have made it your mission, too. Laughter the best medicine. Happy Valentine’s to you.
I had to post this, Georgette! No choice, really. I love my bloggin’ buddies.
PS: I tagged you in a blog challenge. Check my site 2-17. Challenging, it is, too! If you’d prefer not to play, I completely understand! It’s time consuming, and I know how little of that there is sometime. Don’t want any heart attacks.
I’ll go check it out, Georgette. Thanks (I think
)
Sadly, I’d be the one who’d want to clean up too! Thanks for sharing. This was great.
Isn’t it well done? I just had to share.
Such an important message and done in a way to get our attention. I’ll have to go share this one on Twitter.
Carrie, I think I need to hire you as my publicist!
Hahaha. I think I’m too busy trying to be my own. And clearly, I’m in over my head.
I started The Seneca Scourge last night. I stayed up way too late. So if you’re marketing, you have a good product. At least the first 1/6th of it, anyway.
Thank you! Very nice to hear. I hope you enjoy the other 5/6ths.
Excellent PSA–the kind people will watch because it is both entertaining and informative and hits so very close to home! Thanks!
Sure thing, Lorna!
Thank you for this timely reminder. I still want the chocolates (dark is better for your heart.)
I don’t know about you, Peg, but I don’t eat chocolate for my health!!!! If I want something heart-healthy I will drink red wine. Sheesh.
Yeah, me too. Milk chocolate all the way…with WHITE wine. And people say I don’t know how to live dangerously.
Actually I’m a white wine girl, too. Red gives me headaches.
Good reminder – thanks for posting. I lost my mom to a heart attack at 53. She was at the gym – she ignored all the signs.
Oh Lorri, I’m so sorry. And the fact that she was at the gym just adds to the horror.
It’s been many years. She ignored the arm pain – she thought she had a pinched nerve, she ignored the indigestion, she was sure it was her gall bladder, she was sure the hot flashes were menopause. She started an exercise program and never cued in her doctor. It was all there – she just didn’t want to see it.
That’s a young age to think you’re having heart problems. But you never know, do you.
Still, many years or not. Losing folks you love sucks.
Yes it does.
Great post. A friend of mine had a heart attack recently…her jaw had been hurting for days then she got sick…thought it was the flu. One emergency call later, in the hospital – almost didn’t make it.
Glad she made it, Cooper. I hope she feels better soon.
It’s a scary lesson to learn. I hadn’t heard of the jaw before this video. I’m glad I do.
Great one Elyse.
I had to post this film. Health and humor — made for me!
Well darn it, I can’t seem to see this video clip on this here doohickey of an iPad. But reading the comments and using my sharp mind (don’t laugh) I can deduct it has something to do with heart attacks and knowing the signs? Always a good reminder. My mom had symptoms for days, but they were vague, dizziness, feeling a bit wheezy and nauseous. She thought it was her allergies. She ended up having congestive heart failure and almost didn’t make it.
And if the video wasn’t about that, well, nevermind.
The video is a really funny warning of the signs of a heart attack. I sent you the link via email so you can see it some other time. It’s really brilliant.
thank you much, Elyse! (does it seem like I was just sitting here on the computer awaiting your reply? I swear, I did go to sleep last night…only for 4 hours…but I do have a life outside of blogging, really.)
You do? You should write a pat about that. I’d love to know what it’s like!
Good video and good reminder—–thank you, Elyse, for a good wake-up this morning.
I’ve seen this a few times. Great message!
Thanks Guap!
Valuable message passed on with great humor.
Now I’ve almost forgotten my requirement for skimpy underwear.
I don’t want to hear about it, GOF!
Pictures instead???
Only of puppies. I have my limits!
Best gift ever!
I hope folks share this message. It is an important one.
