Reblogged from Life With The Top Down:
This time of year neighborhoods everywhere are beaming with Christmas displays, that are for the most part, entertaining for their beauty. Then there are those that provide a heavy dose of unintentional comedy. But, no one truly prepares us for those that leave us silently shaking our heads, as we ask ourselves some very pressing questions. Who came up with the idea of the hideous enormous inflatable holiday decorations that make absolutely no sense?

Well, I hope she has a sense of humour, ’cause I just stopped by. Otherwise, your Christmas card list might be one short next year!
Oh Lord.
Of course, I am only NOW doing my cards… Thank God for E-Cards!
Thanks for the awesome post!
Merry Christmas, Lisa. In these parts we have pockets of enthusiastic house decorators with the odd stuffed Santa swigging a beer. I think I like your pics better!
Awesome. We’ve got some happy decorators across the street. Nothing like a 20-foot tall inflatable Whack-A-Penguin to get you in the holiday spirit!
Not being big on Christmas or the decorations, I think I might actually enjoy Whack-A-Penguin. Except that I like penguins. Can I whack an elf instead?
OK, I didn’t want to admit this over on her blog but…(it’s kinda a long story)
I had a gigantic, gawdy inflatable Santa on my front lawn last year. My neighbors HATED it.
Then we got a bad snowstorm and my kids wanted me to plug him in but the wires were frozen and I couldn’t get it to work so I was getting really ticked off. Santa was only half-inflated and was whipping around in the breeze, kinda half hunched over. I nicknamed him ‘Drunk Santa’.
Then he just completely deflated and my kids cried and….
I ended up ripping the poor bastard into shreds and now he’s in the trash.
There. I admit it! I killed Santa, Elyse! How dare you make me tell you this!
Those kids of yours will be in therapy for years, Darla. Years.
Merry Christmas, pal.
V. funny – liked that reblog
Glad you liked it, Words! Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Now I am heading towards Lisa’s blog to read this post.
Thanks, Arindam!
Thanks for reblogging this! What a pleasure to read!
Merry Christmas to you, and yours, and to anyone else …
A little bit of silliness is so helpful sometimes, isn’t it?! Hope you had/are having a pleasant day.
Thanks for sharing that with us!
Sure thing JSD. Hope you’re having a nice week.
